Music Reflection - 24 February 2012

Today, we were supposed to submit the booklet about romanticism that is compared to modern music. Well, most of us submitted the booklet, and only some are left. Then, my group were to write a reflection about the presentation that we showed last session. After that, the other groups presented theirs and took most of the time of the whole session. So, we didn't have any time to go to instrument class, which is quite sad because we can't practice.

Music Reflection - 20 February 2012

Today was the day to present the presentations, my group went up first. Well, ironically, we were the only ones that presented that day because the other groups weren't ready. One group had a technical difficulty, whilst the other just weren't ready. The group took turns to talk, but mostly me, Yohanes and Ronaldo that talked the most. The presentation was good because not only explaining things about romanticism, but we got to play the songs also from Ronaldo's laptop. Well, afterwards we went to instrument class to practice the music piece.

Music Reflection - 17 February 2012

Today was actually the day to present the presentations, but it was delayed to Monday. I actually don't know why it was delayed, but it was unfortunate because my group had finished making the presentations. So, instead we were given a music piece called 'Salut D'amour', and all of us perform this piece together. This may be somewhat easy for me because I can read notes, but there are some notes that I can't read. Also, we were given the result for the assessment that we had before. I think that my score was in the middle, so it was good because it shows an improvement for me.

Music Reflection - 13 February 2012

Today was the day of the assessment about notations. The assessment was mostly about harmony, melodic and natural scales. It was also about the words about the romanticism from the glossary. I was quite worried at the results because I wasn't quite sure that I get the answers correct for harmony and melodic scales. After doing the assessment, we went to instrument class.

Music Reflection - 10 February 2012

Well, today we didn't do that much actually, first we practice and learn more about harmonic and melody scales. Everyone of us had to take a turn to go to the board and 'do' or 'draw' a scale that the teacher told us to do. Afterwards, we went to instrument class. Also, we were told that the due date for the presentation is near.

Music Reflection - 6 February 2012

Today, before we even started the session, all of us were talking about the trip to Singapore. This trip is only for the ARTS students. The trip is to go to Singapore and then watch a show a musical show called "Wicked". The class was thinking about going to Europe, but the Arts teachers already made their mind. Afterwards, we learned theories again, and little information about romanticism. Later, we went to instrument class.

Music Reflection - 3 February 2012

Today, we studied more about theories such as scales, major & minor chords and etc. We were also given two sheets of paper about romantic music and a glossary of words that most commonly being used in romantic music time. We also got a chance making the presentation, but the time given wasn't that much. Afterwards, we went to instruments class.
